Barton Volunteers

Barton Volunteers was initially established to support the local community during Covid-19, assisting with surgeries, meal deliveries, and distributing local newspapers.

Since then, the team has expanded to cover heritage, culture, arts, gardening, and green spaces in Barton upon Humber. In winter 2023, they launched a “soup and a film” afternoon at Ropery Hall, providing a warm space, meals, and social interaction. With 303 active volunteers contributing 952 hours since October 2023, the group offers essential community support.

By September, they will support over 100 events, including WWII air raid shelter tours and Victorian guided tours, enhancing community engagement.
