Denys Fell, Densholme Farm

Farmer Denys gives significant time to environmental sustainability through organic farming and efforts toward carbon neutrality.

His farm, featuring nine wind turbines, an air source heat pump, a wood chip boiler, and solar panels, supports flourishing biodiversity. In 2018, he won the Tye Trophy for conservation efforts. For over 25 years, Denys has volunteered with local organisations, planting woodlands and supporting wildlife. He educates children through Hull Children’s University, providing farm tours and online sessions via ‘Farmer Time.’

Denys has welcomed over 4,000 children to his farm and, at 73, ran his sixth marathon to support Hull Children’s University.
