Trustee - Pat Hutchinson (City of Hull Street Angels)

Pat Hutchinson is the heart and soul of City of Hull Street Angels. As the charity’s longest-serving trustee and treasurer, she has been there from the very beginning — the quiet force working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running. Pat manages the finances, handles paperwork, ensures compliance, and supports funding bids, all while offering advice, solving problems, and lifting the load for the rest of the team. She gives her evenings, weekends, and holidays without hesitation or recognition, purely because she believes in the cause. Her dedication, selflessness, and warmth are the foundation on which this charity stands.

Pat doesn’t seek the spotlight — in fact, most of her work goes unseen — but her impact is felt in every corner of the organisation. She’s the first to arrive, the last to leave, and the person everyone turns to when things get tough. Volunteers describe her as the one you can always rely on: someone who listens, encourages, and makes everyone feel like they belong. She leads by example, setting a tone of compassion, care, and integrity that shapes the culture of the charity. Pat has helped hundreds of vulnerable people through her tireless behind-the-scenes work, but just as importantly, she’s held the team together with her calm presence and unwavering commitment. As one volunteer said so perfectly: “Pat doesn’t just keep the charity going — she keeps us going too.”
