Celia Evans, Home-Start Goole and District

Since 1995, Celia has been a Home-Start volunteer, conducting weekly home visits to offer support, friendship and practical assistance to one or two families. 

The role adapts to unique struggles, building relationships that endure for weeks or even years, guiding them through challenges until they’re ready to move forward independently. 

Balancing this with work and raising her family, Celia dedicates approximately 3 hours per weekly visit, accumulating an impressive 28 years of continual support to families.

Her commitment encompasses ongoing training, supervision, and maintaining close communication with the organisation, exemplifying a remarkable, enduring dedication to others.
