Kevin Heppell, PATT Foundation

Kevin, a former Armed Forces member, has blossomed as a Volunteer Woodland Creation Officer at Plant a Tree Today Foundation.

He leveraged his skills to guide tree planting and species selection, even training new team members in mapping and ecological knowledge. Kevin advocates for PATT’s environmental, veteran, and community efforts.

He's facilitated planting 112,000 trees and hedgerows in Hull and East Riding, enhancing biodiversity and green spaces.

Kevin’s journey from volunteer to forestry professional embodies his profound impact on both the environment and his own career trajectory.

Kevin was unable to join us at the Awards, so his Award was accepted on his behalf by Hull City Council Leader, Mike Ross.
