Young Volunteer Award (sponsored by Eltherington)

Award Winner, Kiya Crawford, Winner Preston Road Women’s Centre

Kiya went from attending Winner, Preston Road Women’s Centre youth club, to helping to run it. The time she gives has meant the youth club can stay open. Kiya brings flair as well as stability, by running hair and make-up sessions. Kiya continues to volunteer despite gaining employment. Young people at the centre wanted Kiya to be nominated in recognition of her compassion and hard work.

Kiya was unable to join us at the Awards, but it was happily accepted on her behalf by Winner the Preston Road Women’s Centre, who threw a mini celebration party for her at the Centre after the Awards.
