07:00: Loading the chiller van with the day’s orders. This could be up to 10 deliveries in a day.

08:00: The van driver Paul and driver assistant Anne head out in the van to start their deliveries.

09:00: Goodwin Pantry receive their delivery of surplus food to be redistributed to those members that are in financial difficulty, vulnerable or shielding due to the covid-19 pandemic. The Goodwin Pantry have worked in conjunction with Hull City Council to become West Hull’s emergency Hub for food parcels. During the first lockdown, the pantry supported 1500 families and distributed 100 food parcels every week.

09:30: The Thornton Pantry receive their trays and have been supporting 50 people every Friday and a consistent 20 emergency food parcels each week.

10:00: Adelaide Primary School (Great Thornton Estate) - Delivery of surplus food for food parcels to be handed out to families on the estate.

11:00: Thornton estate Youth Club - Receive 20 trays of surplus food to be handed out to the youth club members and families across the estate. At half term through our estate-based youth service we cooked and delivered pizzas to over 50 children on the estate.  

11:30: Vulcan Boxing Club – Receive 80 trays of surplus food to be redistributed across the west of the city.

12:00: Bean Street – 100 trays of surplus food delivered to struggling individuals and families across the west of Hull.
