Volunteer Centres are local organisations that provide support and expertise within communities, to potential volunteers, existing volunteers, and organisations that involve volunteers.
They are a good place for one-to-one support when starting to look for volunteering opportunities in the local area. They can find out what you're interested in doing and try to match you with a suitable volunteering role with a local charity or voluntary organisation.
These centres offer a range of information and support for people who want to volunteer; for voluntary and community organisations who involve volunteers; and local businesses that engage their employees in team building volunteering.
They advise hundreds of people each year who are keen to find out about interesting and rewarding volunteering opportunities.
