The Time2Volunteer Awards is a special event recognising and celebrating all volunteers throughout the Humber region, saying thank you to those who give their time to help others.
We are excited to invite you to HEY Smile Foundation’s Time2Volunteer Awards 2023, delivered with our Partners Hull CVS, Nisa Retail’s charity Making a Difference Locally (MADL), East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Hull City Council.
The event, which is in its fifth year, will be held at the DoubleTree, by Hilton Hull, on Thursday 5 October, 1pm - 4:30pm, and recognises the work of volunteers across Hull, East Riding, and North and North East Lincolnshire.
Whether you're a volunteer, a business, charity, or just someone interested in community, help us to recognise and celebrate all of the amazing volunteers across the Humber region by joining us at the Awards.
You don’t have to be shortlisted or even nominated to attend. This is a celebration of volunteering across the Humber region for all.
Thank you to Hull CVS who helped us shortlist 138 nominations internally, to our event partners and sponsors who had the difficult task of judging the final winners, and to every one of you who nominated a volunteer or team.
The event will feature music and drinks reception, entertainment, guest speaker and a sparkling afternoon tea will be served. Tickets are £20 per person and the dress code is smart casual.
We have added new categories this year, including the Inclusive Volunteer Award, which recognises people who empower people from diverse communities, and the Founding Volunteer Award, which celebrates people who had the bravery to make an idea happen and start a group or charity.
Smile’s CEO Jamie Lewis said: “The amazing thing about Time2Volunteer is it creates a platform that not only recognises excellence but also encourages positive change within our local community.
By incorporating fresh categories, we are embracing the ever-evolving landscape of volunteering and its social impact. We want to celebrate those who have gone above and beyond, using their influence and their time to make a real difference."
Tessa Wray, Smile’s Head of Partnerships and Development, added: “The Time2Volunteer Awards have become an exciting date in our diaries.
We read many stories of achievement, of lives that have been changed, and of how communities are shaped. To us, the focus of the event is a celebration of everyone who volunteers not just the award winners.
We are grateful to Smile’s friends in the community who support the event, by sponsoring categories and the event itself, which in turn raises the profile of the shortlisted charities and community groups.”
